Virtual reality is a recent tool that can be used in the assessment and management of cognitive deficits in patients with acquired brain injury. It is possible to assess the patient globally and work with the patient for long periods of time in real-life, meaningful activities. It allows patients to comply with treatment in an environment which can be simplified and adapted to physical and cognitive limitations. Virtual reality is likely to become an essential part of patient management due to its effectiveness.
