The isokinetic registers as a reference technique in measuring muscle performance and rehabilitation in athletes. The evaluation for different joints, the establishment of specific profiles to certain disciplines. This contributes to the detection of imbalances induced by the practice, but also individualized workouts. The relationships between muscle imbalance and lesion risk justifies the use of tests for preventive purposes. The isokinetic also applies to rehabilitative framework: high intensity exercises to correct deficits, submaximal programs, particularly in eccentric fashion, for the adaptation of the muscle-tendon tissue.
