La transplantation d'allogreffes méniscales représente une solution biologique potentielle pour le patient symptomatique atteint de déficience méniscale qui n'a pas encore développé une arthrose avancée.
THE MENISCAL ALLOGRAFT : An update
The surgical treatment of meniscal lesions is the most common procedure in orthopaedics today. The majority of these lesions require a partial menisectomy even though only a small percentage of cases can be repaired with success. The ablation of this important anatomical structure induces degenerative modifications in the articular cartilage and other clinical symptoms.
The transplantation of meniscal allografts represents a potential biological solution for the symptomatic patient suffering from meniscal deficiency but has not yet developped advanced arthritis.
