Advanced in age induced change in the postural control strategy who involved higher sway amplitudes associated with higher neuromuscular force developed. Along ML axis, this increase suggests the more frequent adoption of feet shuffling in the aim of thwarting any potential loss of equilibrium and the adoption of a more deterministic postural control. In the dual-task condition, postural stability performance is deteriorated only for the older group. These results suggest that the attentional load has a negative impact on motor control beyond 75 years.
