Several sensory signals provide information on the position and motion of body segments (e.g. visual, proprioceptive, cutaneous and vestibular). Depending of the movements and of the context in which they are produced, the information provided by these signals can be re-weighted (facilitated or suppressed). The goal of our studies is to understand the mecanisms underlying the processing of these multimodal sensory information during the planning and execution stages of movements such as when initiating locomotion.
