SPONDYLOLYSIS AND SPONDYLOLISTHESIS ISTHMIQUE IN ADULT
Although related, spondylolysis and spondylolisthesis are two different nosological conditions. They are responsible for pain, neurological disorders, and deformities lumbosacral kyphosis. The posterior arch is mobile, allowing the disc to slide more commonly at L5-S1, but sometimes at other levels. Sliding quantification is performed using the Taillard index (grades I to IV).
Overall, the prognosis depends on lumbosacral kyphosis and the presence of neurological disorders as it progresses. Different surgical techniques are used, effectively stabilizing and reducing instability and displacement, limiting surgical complications.
