Lower limb arthritis has gained an important place in the rehabilitation, orthopedic and surgical domain. With the changing demographic we can imagine a significant increase in the number of patients to be treated either conservatively or surgically. Science and legislation have also progressed. In providing advice and education, the physiotherapist is an efficient tool in preparing a patient for surgery and in decreasing health expenses.
